The Location Of Disneys Boardwalk Area Hotels

Disneys BoardWalk area hotels are located in the Epcot Resort Area of the Walt Disney World Resort. This amazing area features a number of individual resort hotels and vacation club properties several restaurants and shopping venues as well as immediate access to the EPCOT and Disneys Hollywood Studios theme parks. Disney provides water-taxi transportation as well as interconnected walking paths and a gondola service known as the Disney Skyliner.

Guests can access the Epcot Resort area from Interstate 4 by using the Epcot Center Drive exit, heading west to East Buena Vista Drive. Epcot Resorts Boulevard is located approximately one mile west of Epcot Center Drive just off East Buena Vista Drive. The Walt Disney World Swan is the first hotel on the western entrance of Epcot Resorts Boulevard.

It is a fairly direct route from the Orlando International Airport via SR 528 to Interstate 4 west or State Road 417 to World Center Drive which becomes Epcot Center Drive at Interstate 4. Barring any significant traffic issues, it will take approximately 30 minutes to get from the airport to the resort. The Orlando / Orange County Convention Center is also close the hotel, just 10 miles along Interstate 4 east towards downtown Orlando.

Shopping Recreation And Things To Do

Muscles & Bustles Health Club is BoardWalk’s fitness center. It is open 24 hours a day but attendants are only available from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.

BoardWalk’s main gift shop is Screen Door General Store. It is located on the BoardWalk near the boat dock. As you’d expect from a Disney gift shop, it has a decent collection of souvenirs ranging from small trinkets such as keychains and pens, to embroidered jackets and Disney princess dresses. Prices for these items are about what you’d pay in the theme parks or Disney Springs.

Screen Door General Store also sells basic pharmacy items such as sunscreen, aspirin, allergy and cold medicine, baby diapers and formula, shampoo, and the like. Screen Door General Store hasDisney-branded cookies, chocolate, coffee tins, and similar items, if that’s what you’re looking for. Prices for these items are considerably higher – about double – than what you’d probably payat home.

Located next to Muscles & Bustles Health Club is the Slide Show Games Arcade, which has a decent collection of relatively recent video and arcade games. Most gamescost $0.50 to $2.00 per play, which can add up quickly. It’s helpful to set a budget with your kids before they go in.

Walkers, joggers and runners can find a jogging trail at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort. Tt is a scenic 0.8-mile course around around Crescent Lake. Thanks to bridges over Cresent Lake guests are able to make a full circle while passing by the Yacht & Beach Club and the Swan & Dolphin resorts.

What To Know As Moonlight Magic Registration Returns

Registration will soon begin for Disney Vacation Club’s exclusive Moonlight Magic events. Here are some things to know if you are hoping to attend.

It has been two years since Disney Vacation Club hosted a Moonlight Magic event. Over that time, DVC has made some tweaks to the registration process. Whether this is your first time registering or first time in a while, here are some things you will want to know about the process:

What is Moonlight Magic? It’s basically Extra Magic Hours at a Disney theme park, except admission is free and it is only available to DVC members. Most attractions will be operating with limited wait times. Past events have featured unique character appearances, dance parties and complimentary refreshments.

What are the Moonlight Magic dates for 2022? Announced dates include EPCOT on March 17 & 31, Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 24, June 16 & July 14 and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 26, August 31 & September 28.

How long do the events last? Typically three hours past the scheduled theme park closing.

Are all DVC members eligible to attend? Only members who qualify for Membership Magic perks, and their travel companions.

Do I have to register in advance? Yes. Registration is broken into two phases. First, those with confirmed hotel reservations on the night of the event will be given priority to register. Later, members without hotel reservations will have access to any remaining openings.

Disneys Yacht Club Resort is initially opened in 1990 and features 630 rooms in a nautical-themed New England style resort. Located just across Crescent Lake from Disneys BoardWalk Resort, Yacht Club is immediately adjacent to Disneys Beach Club Resort which is shares amenities including the Stormalong Bay pool complex.
