How Guest Reviews Work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score, we add up all the review scores and divide that total by the number of review scores we received. Guests can also give separate subscores in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently theres no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didnt actually stay there. To edit a review youve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we’d publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we wont display any reviews that include or refer to :
- Politically sensitive comments
- Personal or sensitive info
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Impersonation
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Great Place For Families
As a seasoned Pacific Rim traveler I can say that Hawaii’s Big Island is by far the most impressive Pacific destination that I have seen. It is an outdoor type’s paradise and is breathtakingly beautiful. The Hilton Grand Vacation’s Club at Waikoloa Village is a great place for families. The rooms are HUGE and the prices are very reasonable. There is a fitness center, 24 hour front desk, and concierge service available only steps away from the villas. As a guest at the Vacations Club you get full room charge privileges at the beautiful Hilton Resort . The only down side is that there is no maid service…that means no fresh towels, but you get a washer and dryer so who cares – wash them yourself! I live and work overseas and I met some members of my family there at the Big Island as a halfway meeting point and it just doesn’t get any better for family vacations. A rental car is a MUST the Big Island is HUGE and many of the unbelievably beautiful sights are up to a 2 hr drive away. Parking is free at the vacations club so is wireless internet.

The Kohala Suites by Hilton Grand Vacations is a family resort, located near the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course. There are 120 guest rooms at this property, which all include a fully-equipped ktichen with a full-size fridge and freezer unit. The hotel offers a free area shuttle for guests, and is close to attractions like Kings Shops, Dolphin Quest, Hapuna Beach State Park, and Anaehoomalu Beach.
Free onsite parking is available for all resort guests. There are three outdoor pools with plenty of lounge space and a pool bar, where guests can enjoy the Hawaii sunshine. The hotel also offers two outdoor tennis courts and a patio area with barbecue grills for guest use. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the resort and a free grocery shopping service is available.
There is a computer station and a business center in the hotel. Select guest rooms offer golf views and all rooms have a private balcony. Units Are Large And Clean But Mattresses Are Far From High
The 120 rooms at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club are spacious and clean, though there is a huge contrast between the Master Suite and the second bedroom. The Master Suite feels luxurious with contemporary accents and a flat-screen TV, whereas the guest rooms tend to feel more generic and like any other chain hotel. The mattresses are equally uncomfortable in both rooms.

Exrewmwly friendly staff. They made us feel right at home. Room was spotless and very comfortable. It met all our expectations.
Gorgeous location, spacious room, with comfy beds and overall very clean room. I love the abundance of parking and that it’s free. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with 5 adults and 2 kids and were very comfortable. not squished/packed in. We’ve actually already booked another stay in a few months. Although they have a lovely pool area right at the Kohala Suites, do make plans to visit the main hotel where you can enjoy the large resort pool and lagoon with tons of wildlife including turtles and salt water fish. As well as view the dolphins or even paid to swim with them.

Property was very nice and well maintained. The 2 bedroom suite with full size tub was excellent. Kitchen was well equipped, we really appreciated the rice cooker. Very spacious 2 bedroom. The outdoor seating area was wonderful, we ate dinner out there every night. All the staff was incredible, very helpful and very nice and helpful. Location was wonderful, convenient,shuttle was great.
Second time our family has stayed here. Facilities are very clean, staff exceptional.

Do not stay here. It is run down and pathetic. Most of the restaurants are not open. To get from the lobby to the Ocean Tower is 20 minutes. Its entirely frustrating. Oh, and pathetic.

The Hilton Waikoloa Village Hotel is a very large property and getting around does take some extra time. We strive to keep our property clean and in good condition.
