Knowing which way is the best way for you to book your Disney vacation really depends on your goals.
If your goal is to have the most flexability for changes, you are better off booking with Disney or with a Travel Agent.
If your goal is to save the most money AND you are flexible on where you stay and when you travel, renting DVC points or booking through a 3rd party site may be the best option for you.
Decide On Your Length Of Stay
Because there is just so much to see and do at Walt Disney World, there is really no right answer for how long your Walt Disney World vacation should last. However, there are several wrong answers. One wrong answer would be staying for only 1 or 2 days!
We recommend that any trip should last at least four days, with an ideal range of a full week or so. Some people buy an Annual Pass and spend 30+ days at the park, so the sky is the limit! It just depends on your budget, time limitations, who you are traveling with, and what the goals of your trip are. But with so much to see and experience, a day or two wont even scratch the surface of what Walt Disney World has to offer.
How Long Do Most People Stay at Disney World?
Most Disney World vacations last 3 7 days. Many guests devote one full day to each of the four Disney World theme parks. Given their size and number of attractions, its certainly possible to spend two days each at Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Additional days can be spent re-visiting one of the parks, going to a Disney water park, or doing other various activities, inside or outside of the park.
If your objective is to experience most attractions, shows, parades, etc., you really need to provide yourself with adequate time/days to explore all facets of each park. If saving money is an important consideration, a shorter trip can help accomplish that.

When Can I Book 2024 Walt Disney World Vacation Packages
This question is the one that we get asked more than any other as most people looking to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando know that planning ahead is a must. Some even say that planning your Disney vacation is almost as much fun, if not more, than the actual vacation itself!
The Walt Disney Travel Company typically releases package information and pricing around June-ish for the following year. We say “ish” since it’s not released the same day every year. As an example, 2023 packages went on sale on June 8, 2022.
This can be somewhat confusing because if you call Disney directly, they will recommend that you book a room-only reservation as long as you know your dates and where you’d like to stay. They’ll advise you to simply call back and change your room-only reservation to a package reservation once the package information is released. This is where things can get tricky.

You are able to make a room-only reservation 500 days in advance by paying a deposit equal to one night’s stay while your balance will be due the day you check into your resort hotel. In order to book a Walt Disney World vacation package, a $200 deposit is required to book with the remaining balance of your package being due thirty-days prior to your arrival.

Can I Book Disney For 2024
Another popular question we have started to receive is, can I book Disney for 2024? And as a general rule of thumb, guests can book Disney World hotel reservations 499 days in advance from their travel date. Walt Disney World vacation packages which include your hotel and tickets are typically released in June for the following year.

Disney often has discounts available, but if youre booking directly with them, they arent automatically applied.
Instead, youll need to confirm that the correct Special Offer button is toggled ON and that youre logged in so that you can see all available discounts:

What about after youve already booked?
If a discount comes out after youve booked, you may still be able to apply it. However, this isnt automatic either.
Instead, youll need to modify your existing reservation to add the new discount .
