Marriott Vacation Club 90-minute Sales Presentation 2021

Can Attending Timeshare Presentations Offer A Good Deal

Marriott Vacation Club Combined Program With Vistana – What is a SOFT LAUNCH?

Even still, there are times when sitting through a timeshare presentation can be worth your while. You can find good timeshare deals on offers for discounted stays, free nights and more online or get offers through phone calls or targeted emails. In some cases, you might decide the savings are worth it.

When You Need Help Exiting A Wyndham Timeshare

All the warnings on the internet wont help you if you already have a timeshare contract with Wyndham. In that case, you might worry that youve made a mistake and that you have no option but to keep paying money to Wyndham forever.

The good news is that you dont have to settle for a bad situation or buy more timeshare points. Centerstone Group is a BBB A-rated company that specializes in getting timeshare owners out of bad contracts. Wyndham can be a tough company to reach. We can get them to respond through our proprietary methods, including pressure campaigns and legal action.

We can also help you if youre trying to get rid of your timeshare or pursue a cancellation. Although the resale market is nearly non-existent, we can help you manage a transfer that is legal, ethical, and most of all permanent.

What Happens During A Timeshare Presentation

Youll meet several salespeople throughout the presentation, and they will all play a unique role in the pitch. For example, you might first meet a greeter, who will take your personal information and try to make you feel comfortable. Next, you may be assigned a tour guide, who will act like your best friend and do what they can to gain your trust. This person will show you the most luxurious parts of the resort, and ask you questions such as where you like to travel and what you desire. That way, they can tailor their pitch to suit your needs and share your information with other team members.

When you make it back to the presentation room, salespeople will try to close a deal using high-pressure tactics. If they fail to persuade you, theyll transfer you to a manager who will offer incentives and irresistible discounts whatever they can do to make a sale.

There are a number of different sales strategies you can expect to encounter during a timeshare presentation. Not everyone you meet will aggressively try to sell to you. Part of the game is trying to earn your trust, so you feel comfortable buying a timeshare and guilty if you dont make a purchase. Salespeople use a range of tactics to make it as difficult as possible to say no, such as:

What Happens At A Timeshare Sales Presentation

If youre expecting a slimy, car salesman-like experience, youll be surprised to find it is typically nothing like that. In fact, the welcoming atmosphere is a strategy to help you say yes. Often, there will be treats. Everything they do is leading you to say yes.

Sales presentations are often called tours and youll be assigned a salesperson for the duration of the presentation. Theres a process that the salesperson must follow and youre probably being watched carefully. You wouldnt think this, but the salesperson is typically following a script for the sales presentation. Questions will be phrased to get yes answers from you.

Youll typically follow a format that goes something like this:

  • Enter the sales office with your no face on, arms crossed
  • Greet and visit with your assigned salesperson
  • Laugh, let your guard down
  • Dream about your future vacations
  • Learn about the company and program
  • Get your first offer
  • Close the sale or get to your final no
  • Collect your incentive gifts

Plan for two hours, especially if youre in a group.

It is quite a process and theres a reason people dont do it all the time. It can be emotionally draining for everyone. Youll want some in-depth knowledge and a few strategies to get through it.

Five Things You Should Try In Vegas

  • Have fun looking for the secret door to Ghost Donkey at the Cosmopolitan. Enjoy a cocktail when you get inside.
  • Stop by Nellies Southern Kitchen in the MGM Grand. Great bartenders. We stopped here to have a cocktail before going to a free screening of TV shows.
  • Try a free screening at Television City at the MGM Grand.
  • Catch the monorail. For $5.00, you can take the monorail to see Vegas from a different angle.
  • If you stay at Marriotts Grand Chateau, enjoy the view at SkyBar 38. Look at a sporting event at La Diva and order the wings. Some of our best meals were at La Diva and the pool on the 5th floor. I spent $269.00 on meals and cocktails. You will have access to La Diva because it is on the 1st floor.

How Many Marriott Timeshare Resales Are Available

Each resort is different. For example, the Marriott Newport Coast villas located in California has hundreds of sellers on the resale market. Other destinations like Summit Watch Park City, Utah have only a few sellers. This is due to the popularity and size of the resort.

There are thousands of off-season Marriott timeshares, also known as shoulder seasons, available for $1.00- yes, $1.00- through eBay and licensed timeshare brokers. These are typically in ski or far-off destinations with spring or fall usage. If you plan on buying a shoulder season, be aware that reselling it will be almost impossible. A quick internet search of timeshare broker services reveals just how many timeshares are available to buy or during these seasons.

With shoulder seasons, the maintenance fees can end up costing owners more than renting the property. Shoulder rentals are available as Getaways on Interval International for $350 $450 a week, whereas typical annual maintenance fees for a Marriott timeshare are $1,300.

    Absolutely The Worst Investment

What the CEO Had to Say About ABOUND! Marriott Vacations Worldwide 2nd Quarter Earnings Call

Absolutely the worst investment of my life. You pay so much in initial investment and annual dues and finally you get nothing back. Almost impossible to reserve and finally you always need to make an international call to be put in a queue which never ends. You hear an endless loop recording about how important your business is, but you never get a result. You can leave a number to be called back, but they never call back. My advice – don’t buy.

Where Can You Find Timeshare Resale Listings

One of the best places to find timeshare resale listings is TUGs owner-to-owner marketplace. It is one of the largest and most visited timeshare classified ad sites on the internet, with $30 million in timeshare sales, $18 million in owner direct timeshare rentals, and one-week vacation exchanges between timeshare owners. If you cant find the resort you are visiting there, check out Redweek.com, the largest online marketplace for timeshare sales and rentals. Both sites are fantastic, reliable resources to arm yourself with information for timeshare presentations.

What To Expect When Youre Rejecting

At the end of the presentation, youll be saying No several times, and probably to more than one person. If this makes you feel at all uncomfortable, then you have no business signing up to attend the presentation.

Youre going to be pitched an expensive liability, but it will be framed in a way by a clever and experienced salesperson as an asset that will give you a lifetime of vacation magic. You likely will also be given a now or never deal that expires the minute you walk out of that room.

What they wont tell you is that there is a large second-hand market for timeshare weeks and point packages, often with sellers just wanting to get out of their commitment as cheaply as possible. Yes, people give these things away or sell them for a dollar to escape the burden of the annual maintenance fees.

If you understand the program well and are convinced youll get more than your moneys worth by becoming an owner, you may very well be able to become an owner at a 90% to 99% discount as compared to buying directly from the company. The timeshares are obviously aware of this, and some have responded either by granting valuable perks only to those who buy directly from them or by disallowing the resale of a deeded ownership if its being sold for too little. Disney Vacation Club and Hilton Grand Vacations reportedly exercise their right of first refusal on third-party sales.

    Wait What Is A Timeshare

If youre thinking to yourself What is a Timeshare Exactly?!? Timeshares are partial vacation ownerships of condo-like units in resort developments. They are owned, operated, and maintained by independent resorts, small chains, and large timeshare companies like Hilton Grand Vacations Club, Club Wyndham, Marriott Vacation Club, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, Hyatt Residence Club and Disney. You might have stayed in a timeshare rental before without realizing it!

Timeshare sales is big business! In 2019, there was $10.2 billion in timeshare purchases in America. Thats almost twice as much as Sephoras sales. The global vacation ownership market is expected to reach $40 billion in 2023. In order to grow their business, they need to sell timeshares to. You!Remember, just like Facebook, if something is free, YOU are the productbeing sold.

As with any large commitment, it is important to consider the legally binding financial relationship that you are entering when purchasing a timeshare. This is not the type of decision to make on a whim, three margaritas deep while on vacation at the resort. Can your budget comfortably cover all of the costs? Even the annual maintenance fees during job loss, retirement, or a pandemic?

They Take Your Week And Rent It Out As A Hotel Room As You Can’t Even Log In To Their Site To Book Your Timeshare

Tried to log into MarriottVacationClub.com again today. The site is down. Owner Login’s don’t work. The whole site is a mess. They should offer everyone who owns one of their timeshares something significant as compensation. If you are thinking of buying one, save your money and just book annual trips with that money. You don’t get a benefit from buying a timeshare other than an annual bill full of ever increasing fees and property maintenance and upgrades. It never fails that the resort I want is “Not available” when I try to use my timeshare points. However, when I log into Marriott.com and book it on a very expensive daily fee basis, what do you know, they have availability! So, they take units out of the timeshare availability and rent them like hotel rooms and thus they get paid twice for the same week. A criminal investigation should be launched into the practices of Marriott Vacation Club .

How Much Do You Spend On Vacations

Rent Marriott Vacation Club Points for More Vacations!

These companies must compare notes because their presentations not only have consistent themes, but parts of it are basically identical.

For example, both the man with Blue Green and the woman with Hilton Grand Vacations talked about taking a daughter or niece to the Animal Kingdom Villas and how they could see the giraffes grazing right outside their window. Apparently, you can transfer points from either system to use at this particular Disney property.

Did they both have this personal experience of a young relative pointing out the giraffes? Its possible, as both salespeople are located in Orlando, but the nearly identical stories seemed a bit contrived, if not fabricated, and almost familiar, as I may have actually heard this story in one of my three prior presentations in years past.

Another common exercise is one in which youre asked how often you vacation and how much you spend per night on lodging. They multiply a number of days per year by the cost per night and multiply that figure by a number of years.

We were an interesting test subject. If it werent for a pandemic, wed be spending half the year traveling, spending anywhere from $20 to $200 a night on lodging. We cant really project that forward, though, since our kids will be in high school before long, and that will greatly impact our ability to travel, assuming they attend a brick and mortar school.
