The public beach on St. George Island is pet-friendly, accessible, and includes covered pavilions for picnicking, a playground, and a basket ball court it is also home to bath house facilities. The Cape St. George Lighthouse, as well as the lighthouse Keepers House, are both located within walking distance of Lighthouse Park. Pets are permitted in most restaurants and beaches, but not in state parks. A state employee overheard one of our dogs saying, Look at me! He also informed us that if we wanted to walk her on the public beach, wed need to call the sheriffs office.
