Lake Wenatchee State Park is between Leavenworth and Stevens Pass and is an excellent summer camping location for families with kids of all ages and great for family vacations in Washington state! You could also visit the park for the day if you are staying in nearby Plain or Leavenworth. This is one of the best family vacations in Washington state during the summer, especially with the warm weather.

The campground is great for families because they have bathrooms and showers along with playgrounds and good trees for hammocks.

Lake Wenatchee State Park has lots of opportunities for family activities in Washington. The park is divided into two parts, separated by the Wenatchee River. The south side of the park has a roped-off swimming beach and kayak and paddleboard rentals for your Pacific Northwest family vacation.

If you prefer a quieter scene, the beach on the north side is less crowded and developed. There are about 4 miles of mellow wood chip-lined trails that are mostly flat. Bikes are allowed on most of the trails in addition to the road through the campground.

In winter, you can try winter camping or you can stay at a cozy vacation rental in Plain or Leavenworth and spend the day cross country skiing or snowshoeing in the park.
