How Guest Reviews Work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores weve received and divide that total by the number of review scores weve received. In addition, guests can give separate subscores in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so theres no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didnt actually stay there. To edit a review youve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we wont display any review that includes or refers to :
- Politically sensitive comments
- Personal or sensitive information
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Any violation of our review guidelines.

Is the Legacy really worth it for those of us who are not into golf?
Recently, my parents have been thinking about relocating to the Phoenix area of Arizona. My husband and I decided to join them on their most recent trip to see the area and make a small family vacation out of the opportunity. After much research, we decided we would stay at the Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix.
The Legacy Golf Resort is owned by Wyndham and, as you may have guessed, is a luxury resort thats centered around its 18-hole championship golf course. Now neither my husband or I golf, but we had heard so many positive things about the resort that we decided to give it a try and see if it lived up to all the hype.
So is the Legacy really worth it for those of us who are not into golf? Is this a top-notch resort independent of the golfing it offers? Well, we set out on our way to find out! You might just be surprised about the answer to this question. In fact, there were a few things that really surprised us about our experience here, including one big trap we fell into after check-in.

Final Verdict: Is It Worth It
Overall Experience Rating: 4 Stars
The room at this resort is expertly designed, very relaxing, and features just about every amenity that you could possibly need. Its not often that I stay at a high-end resort that also offers a washer and drier, dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator in the room. But these things are just so nice to have.
This resort itself is focused on its 18-hole championship golf course. However, it certainly offers a long list of features and other activities available. This made the resort quite enjoyable for my family, who loves the occasional activity together on a down day when nothing is planned, but who arent golfers.
Overall, I really love this resort. While the extremely late check-in, housekeeping visits occurring only once every four days, and the horribly tacky timeshare sales pitch at check-in were all significant drawbacks, there were many exceptional features of this resort that made up for a majority of those negative aspects.
My family and I really enjoyed our time overall at this resort and we have added the Legacy Golf Resort to our list of favorite resorts to visit! If you are in the Phoenix area, its certainly worth a try. Just remember to avoid the Concierge like the plague.

Check-out Time: 11:00 am
The most important thing to note about the check-in is the time. Check-in isnt until 4:00 pm, and dont expect it to be a minute earlier. A 4:00 pm check-in, in my experience, is a very late check-in. If you arent prepared for this little surprise before you get there, it can throw a major wrench in your days plans.
We arrived at reception around noon, tired and dreary from our flight. We knew it was likely far too early to get into our room but we decided to attempt to check-in anyway. Not surprisingly, we were told that our room wasnt ready. We did our best to kill four hours out in the town before returning to the resort. We walked into the check-in area at 4:00 pm as we were told. As we entered we were not happy to find a line, almost out the door, of guests also trying to check-in. It seems that with such a late check-in, everyone was waiting until the clock struck exactly four oclock to get their room.
After a long wait, I finally got up to the desk and discovered why the wait was so long. I overheard many people next to me getting upset with the staff because their rooms were still not ready, even though they were there at the resorts requested check-in time. This was very surprising as the resort apparently had 5 hours to get rooms ready between check-out and check-in times.
