JetBlue Vacations benefits can definitely be enticing, but you need to make sure you’re not paying more for the added perks. The reality is, JetBlue Vacations packages arent always the cheapest or the best.
- For example, we found that JetBlue Vacations packages in Bermuda and in Disney World resorts were light on benefits and more expensive in general.
- However, hotel savings in Fort Lauderdale made a JetBlue vacation package considerably less expensive for the dates we searched in February of next year.

Dive Or Snorkel With Saint Lucia Dive
As my friend Danni Washington and I are both certified divers, JetBlue and the St. Lucia Tourism Authority coordinated an opportunity for us to do a dive. This is only my 5th dive so I do feel somewhat of a novice still but they took great care of us.
While on our dive we went deeper than I had ever been, beyond 40 feet, and we saw all sorts of fish, a sea turtle, a lobster, and beautiful sea scape. They also have two ship wreck sites you can visit on your dive.
Saint Lucia Jazz Festival
The Jazz Festival took place May 7th to the 13th and featured world renown jazz musicians like Zara McFarlane, Etienne Embappé, Lalah Hathaway, Robert Glasper, and Avery Sunshine. The island really came alive showing their strong passion for Jazz Music with pop up events in various venues around Saint Lucias popular nightlife strip. I had an amazing time at the festival and would recommend the experience to all my Jazz enthusiasts or novices alike!

Should You Use Jetblue Points For Jetblue Vacations
We already noted how you can use JetBlue points for JetBlue vacation packages, but should you? Most of the time, the answer to that question is “probably not.”
There are a few reasons we say this:
- First, you cannot use JetBlue points to cover the full costs of your trip you can only use points to cover the flight component of your vacation package with JetBlue.
- Second, you’ll typically get less value for your JetBlue TrueBlue points than normal if you choose to do this.
Take the example of the JetBlue Vacations package to Bermuda we profiled above, which would set you back $9,147.21 for seven nights at the St. Regis Bermuda Resort for the dates we searched. If you opted to use a combination of points and cash for the same vacation package, you’ll pay $8,775.21 + 29,600 JetBlue TrueBlue points.
At this rate, you would be trading 29,600 JetBlue TruePoints for a savings of $372. This means you would be getting approximately 1.25 cents per point in value, which is less than 1.6 cents each you normally get for JetBlue TrueBlue points.
Note that you’ll earn JetBlue TrueBlue points on your JetBlue vacation package regardless of how you pay but the cards below can help you earn additional rewards for your booking.

Once settled, head to Castries Market where you can peruse fresh local produce and handicrafts. Day 3-4: No St. Lucia trip is complete without experiencing the crystal clear, calm water at Jalousie Beach. With its white sand and view of the Pitons, it may well be the prettiest beach on the island. Reduit Beach on Rodney Bay is also worth a visit. Kick back with a fresh coconut in hand or feel like a kid again at Splash Island Water Park.

Explore The Sulphur Spring And Take A Dip In The Mud Bath
This was such a unique experience. We ventured to the southern part of the island for an opportunity to tour the Sulphur Springs followed by a dip in the mud baths. My skin was so soft when I got out!
I would highly recommend this as a fun afternoon activity. A local said they like to visit the springs later in the evening as it is a little less busy then. When we went the area was packed but it didnt prevent us from having a great time and meeting some new people along the way!
To start, you carefully step into the first pool of water where you wet your body and later will also rinse your body off. Then you step up to an area where they have buckets of the mud, one with white mud and one with black. You apply the white mud all over and then make some decorative marks using the black mud. We chose to do hand prints and tribal lines.
Then you sit on some rocks resting in the sun and let the mud dry! Once its all dry and youre ready to rinse of, you hop back into the initial pool you came from and being to rub it off. As you do so, you will immediately feel how baby soft your skin has become!
Lunch Over Looking The Piton Mountains At Jade Resort
More food. Always more food. As I mentioned before, Jade Mountain club is an incredible resort and if the price tag is a little out of your budget, dont worry! You can always visit for lunch at Jade Cuisine where you can take in the beautiful view of the Piton Mountains over a beautifully prepared lunch.

Jetblue Vacations: Disney World
A JetBlue Vacations package may not be the best option for a Disney trip.
As you’ll see in the chart below, the JetBlue Vacations Disney package costs over $1,000 more than the Travelocity Disney package.
Worse, JetBlue Vacations only offers one hotel-related “perk” for the higher price a guaranteed upgrade to a resort view room.
For this example, we chose to compare packages, including flights and hotel stay , for a family of four with two kids, ages 10 and 12. The property we chose for this comparison is the Walt Disney World Dolphin, which is affiliated with the Disney brand. We looked for flights from Chicago to Orlando, Fla., for the same dates as our previous comparisons.
