How Far Is Gulf Shores From Orange Beach
Gulf Shores is about 7 miles, or 10 minutes, from Orange Beach. While the two are fairly close in terms of distance, Gulf Shores is much older and tends to be busier than Orange Beach which is newer and growing each day. Because the two are so close to one another, you can stay in an Orange Beach vacation rental and still visit Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan with ease.
Where Is Gulf Shores Al
Gulf Shores lies at Alabama’s southern tip. It’s right across the Florida state line, putting you only 17 miles from Perdido Key and 34 miles from Pensacola. The same fantastic beaches lie on either side of the border so you won’t need to cross over too often. If you’d like to participate in the annual Flora-Bama Mullet Toss , however, you’ll need to be on the Florida side!

Is There Parking At Gulf Shores Beaches
There is plenty of parking at Gulf Shores beaches, some is free but most require paying hourly. There are public pay and display parking areas in Gulf Place, East Gulf Place, West Gulf Place, West 6th Street, and Little Lagoon Pass. Free parking is also available but is much more limited. See the official Town of Gulf Shores parking map for a full list of free and metered parking.
