This New Zealand Family Vacation was planned for a family from Texas. It was the kids spring break trip, so they had a limited amount of time and wanted to hit the highlights of New Zealand. We sent them to Queenstown, which is surrounded by that gorgeous Lord of the Rings scenery that makes New Zealand so unique. Queenstown is also the adventure capital of New Zealand, and they certainly had tons of fun here!
They started their New Zealand Family Vacation in Auckland, the City of Sails. They enjoyed 2 nights in New Zealands largest city and stayed in the luxurious SkyCity Auckland. The next day, they did the exhilarating SkyWalk 328 meters above the air! They also ventured out to the Auckland surrounds to see the untamed forests and black sand beaches.
Next on their New Zealand Family Vacation, they flew to Queenstown on the South Island. This gorgeous town on the shores of Lake Wakatipu has the feel of a small frontier town, but with plenty of luxury accommodations, incredible restaurants , and adventure activities.

New Zealand is a country made up of two major islands, simply called the North and South Islands which are separated by the Cook Strait which is 22 kilometres/14 miles in width at its narrowest point. They contrast in not only terrain and physical features but also in character and attractions.
The North Island is volcanic and thermal. The South Island is two-thirds mountains and one-third plains. The North Island offers lush sub-tropical vegetation, exotic flora and fauna, beaches and attractive small friendly towns. Approximately 75% of Maori culture exists on the North Island although only 15% of the total New Zealand population is Maori. The Polynesians from whom the Maoris are descended, settled here many centuries ago.

Around The North Island
In Auckland, catch a ferry to Waiheke Island for great beaches, cafes and wineries, or to the quaint north shore suburb of Devonport. Visit Kelly Tarltons Sea Life Aquarium, and walk-through its giant aquarium as giant sea creatures swim over you, before exploring the Antarctic Ice Adventure, home to New Zealands only colony of Sub-Antarctic penguins. Auckland Wellington And Christchurch Airports
New Zealand is about a three-hour flight from the East Coast of Australia. Several airlines regularly fly from Australian capital cities to New Zealand so you should be able to get a flight any day of the week. Air New Zealand offers flights daily from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Auckland and four times a week from Perth. From Adelaide, you must first stopover in Melbourne or Sydney. Direct flights are also available from Sydney and Melbourne to Wellington and Christchurch.
Several transport options are available from the airport if you havent arranged a transfer with your hotel. Regular buses and shuttle services operate from the airports to the city centre, there are always taxis waiting outside the Arrivals hall, and car hire is also available.
One of the most interesting ways to get out of Auckland Airport is by a helicopter flight to anywhere in the country you choose, which can be booked in advance or at the airport.

Vivek’s 10 Days Trip To New Zealand
We booked our New Zealand through travel traingle and hub holidays. Our plan was customised as per our requirements . Hotels, flights, meal, activities , self drive car everything was good. We did not face any issue during our trip. The only set back was Franz Joseph hotel which was 30 mins away from the main city. Other then that everything was good.We did not have a good experience with the visa team though. They were not aware of all the documents needed and we’re not even aware that new Zealand tourist visa is an e visa for Indians, we being in Bangalore had to send them documents couple of time. Also they were rude no customer obsession. The 1 start that I have deducted is solely for travel relations the visa company. At one point we felt we could have done processing for our visa and it would have been much faster. But the experience we had with travel traingle and hub holidays is 5*.
