We went for this presentation in March in Thailand and happened to buy the membership. after paying out for 4 months , we have realises its actually working out to be way more expensive than otherwise planned holiday stays.
We really need to get out of this deal as there were many loop holes to when they were selling it to us.
i need help as to what process do we have to follow to be able to exit? whom can we reach out to for help so that we get our money back? cool off period was of 5 days and there is no cancellation policy as such mentioned on the contract.

If youre an owner of the Royal Holiday Club timeshare / vacation club and youre looking to exit, the first step you should take is to contact the company and see if it offers and programs to let you out of the contract.
If you purchased the timeshare within the past 5 days, you can legally rescind the timeshare for a full refund, no questions asked. Sometimes you can pursue your interest in cancellation with a resorts official exit program. We did not find anything on Raintree Vacation Clubs website that indicated this was a possibility, and struggled to find comments on any online message board conversations regarding this concern either. However, Raintree Vacation Club does have a dedicated customer service email that you can find on their websites contact page, so you may be able to get in touch about exiting your timeshare that way. They also have a non-member website called Travel Raintree if youre not successful with their customer service, you can do a Google search for this, and try going that route.
One thing we should note is that RCI has a page about selling your timeshare and avoiding exit companies and scams. They note that they work with the American Resort Development Association and American Resort Development Association-Resort Owners Coalition when it comes to timeshare sales.

Remember, travel clubs change their names and locations often, and they use sophisticated search-engine manipulation techniques to ensure nothing bad shows up when you search for them.
Heres a tip: Search for the owners of the club, not the club itself. Ive seen travel clubs that looked squeaky-clean online, but their owners not so much.

Is That Free Cruise For Real
Many vacation clubs try to hook you into a presentation with the promise of a free cruise, but its not a free cruise. Trust me. Its not. Ive fielded numerous complaints from travelers who believed they had received a legitimate offer, by mail, of either a free cruise or vacation in exchange for attending a presentation for a travel club.
Read the fine print on the travel club application carefully. The offers are highly restrictive, if not fraudulent. Youll have to pay to get to the port, and cover unspecified fees that may total more than the cost of a cruise youd buy from a regular travel agent. Also, blackout dates apply to the offer. Once youve jumped through all the hoops to collect the free vacation, chances are you will have spent more money than if you had simply booked a cruise the old-fashioned way plus, you might be a member of a useless travel club.
State Law Says How Long You Get To Cancel A Timeshare Purchase
The vast majority of timeshare purchasers get the right to rescind the contract within a specific amount of time. Most states have laws giving timeshare buyers at least a few daysusually between three and fifteento cancel the agreement.
In Colorado, for instance, a purchaser has up to five calendar days after the sale to rescind a timeshare contract. . Under Nevada law, timeshare purchasers get the right to cancel a timeshare contract until midnight of the fifth calendar day following the date the contract was executed. .
