Southern Belle Vacation Rental
I am looking at a vacation rental using Southern Belle Vacation Rental near Pirate House restaurant. It is close to River Street on E. Broad. Bay street is just north of it. Would this be a good location for walking to sights and would it be a safe area? Thanks very much!
Safe in the daytime, not so much at late night. As far as walking you are on the “quit” side of the HD. About a mile to City Market, Visitor Center, access to River St. Telfair Museums, many other museums, Battlefield Memorial, museum houses and plenty of restaurants. All of these are in the North West part of the HD
Really weird “information” in the previous post. It’s not “about a mile” to access River Street. River Street is on the other side of Bay Street. You have multiple ways to access it via stairs and the elevator at the Hyatt. I have no idea why the list of things in the NW corner of the HD is mentioned either, but that seems to be the standard answer to any Savannah question on this forum.
The good news is, parking can be inexpensive in Savannah with the Visitor Parking Pass –
$12 a day – which is great for a city. That allows you to park in metered parking places and the city parking garages.
Look at the hotels close to or on Bay street that offer free breakfasts. Some offer an afternoon cocktail hour with snacks. Savannah is very walkable and easy to explore without a car. Some of my favorites include –

Located downtown on the corner of East State Street and Houston Street, this property is right across from the Greene Square. Any Comments On Southern Belle Vacation Rentals
Hello, I’m a newbie here – and due to some disrupted plans to Atlanta we are rushing to plan a stay in Savannah/Tybee Island beginning Thursday. Longtime VRBO and AirBnB user but discovered this rental agency with an internet search. I prefer these local agencies to get away from all the fees. I’m aware there are good and bad rental agencies, so I’d appreciate if anyone has some comments about Southern Belle Vacation rentals?

Ive used twice in SAV. Once for a really big place and once for a smaller place—-though the prices were fair and upfront. All depends on your budget and whats avail last minute.
I’ve never stayed with them, but I rented via Lucky Savannah rentals three or four times and they were good. So they’re another local option for you. It’s been a while , but I think they offered discounts for repeat renters? I know that won’t help you this time, but in case you plan on returning it might be nice. You might want to ask Southern Belle is they offer something similar.
