This may be the easiest way to get the groceries you want for your trip with the least effort and time without using of the food delivery at Disney! Ship your groceries right from home to your resort! You can either shop your favorite store at home or ship from a company, but this allows you to not have to use any of your vacation time to get groceries and your items will be waiting for you when you arrive.
You will of course have to pay for shipping plus Disney World charges a $5 fee for the delivery. Just to be sure they arrive on time, ship your items about a week before your arrival. How you address the groceries for delivery to your resort is as follows:

But what if youre the type of shopper who loves to pick everything out yourself? Not to worry below is a list of supermarkets near Disney World.
- Trader Joes I have to admit one of the only reasons I would ever voluntarily go grocery shopping on vacation is to Trader Joes. The only problem is most of my snacks would be gone by the time we got back to the hotel! Trader Joes Orlando is about 10 miles off Disney property located at 8323 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando Florida 32819.
- Whole Foods- You can visit Whole Foods and shop in person at 8003 Turkey Lake Road, Orlando, Florida 32819.
- Publix The closest Publix to Walt Disney World property is located at Water Tower Shoppes at Celebration Ave and 192.
- Walmart- What shopping list would be complete without Walmart. One of the closest locations to Disney property is located at 3250 Vineland Rd, Kissimmee, Florida 3474.
How To Utilize Grocery Delivery
Its one thing to be able to order groceries from your phone. Its a whole other thing to plan how youre going to work this service into your vacation. There are a couple of steps that we take that we feel can apply to most everyone to help make this process easy.
1. Decide whether you are or you arent going to do it. Earlier we mentioned that first time visitors will probably want to budget to eat in the parks as this takes a lot off their plate . This doesnt save you money but it does save a headache and allows you to focus on other things. So if you decide that you are going to order groceries to your hotel now figure out what meals you want to cover. Just breakfast? Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks? Decide now so you dont under order or over order.
2. Figure out how much room you have to store groceries and decide how you can save room if needed. This would mean condensing milk into smaller containers like half gallons, smaller mayo jars or bottles, full size waters or mini ones, two liters of soda or cans, or smaller individual boxes of cereal or regular. You get the idea. Theres a lot that can be done to make sure theres room for everything. If you happen to have a villa with full kitchen, you dont really need to worry about this step.
7. Pick up your groceries or have them delivered to your room. You can either stop by bell services and grab them on your own or call down from your room and have them bring them up.

Instacart Grocery Delivery Disney World
Instacart has the advantage of allowing you to order groceries from different stores in the same order. There are a fair amount of eligible stores in the Orlando area. There are quite a few extras to pay for with Instacart, like service fees and it seems individual item prices are raised, but the advantage here is getting the exact items you want from different retailers.

Disney allows for the delivery of goods to hotel rooms. This applies to everything from Uber Eats togroceries.
Oh yes, you can ship a carton of bottled water to your hotel if you like. Similarly, you can order Pop-Tarts or fruit or whatever you like for breakfast.
Disney will even throw in the coffee for free! So, lets take a look at the best grocery delivery options in Orlando.

Other Ways To Receive Groceries
Checked luggage is an excellent way to transport groceries. All you need to do is ensure youve paid to have that luggage and consult your airlines guidelines on food transportations and weight requirements on luggage. This is a simple and easy way to get your groceries from A to B while remaining in full control and not having to worry about delays and deliveries. It is worth noting, however, that it can be a little bit more difficult to make sure you get perishable goods there safely.
In-room grocery delivery is available for guests staying at Disney Vacation Club Villa and the Fort Wilderness cabins. You can order any groceries available at their on-site stores and must be ordered 3 days in advance to be delivered to your accommodation. It comes at a cost of $10 but is an easy, reliable system to use where you will be working directly with your resort. It is worth considering though that you will pay a premium to use this service, the goods come at a higher cost, much like youd expect from on-site stores.
Free Grocery Delivery At Disney World
There are two delivery services that offer free grocery delivery to Disney World: First is Amazon Prime Now who offers free delivery to subscribed members as long as you order $40 worth of groceries. If youre not a Prime member already, you should talk to someone who is as memberships can be shared with others. If you cant find anyone, we dont recommend singing up just for grocery delivery as theres a better option to this.
Walmart+ launched in 2020 and has been growing in popularity for all the benefits it offers, one of them being free grocery delivery. What we discovered when looking into this is that the Walmart+ membership has a free 2 week trial where you can try it out, no cost to you. So what we did was sign-up for the service the day we were going to order our groceries. This starts your two weeks free.
Now you can order your groceries for Disney World without having to pay anything assuming you order over $35 worth of stuff. The nice thing about the two week free trial is that if you end up liking the service, it automatically continues as their $99 yearly fee. If you dont end up liking it, just cancel it after the two weeks. We recommend setting a reminder on your phone to do this before 2 weeks is up.

Does Disney Charge For Grocery Delivery
Disney World recently started charging guests a $6 fee to have bell services bring a grocery delivery to your hotel room. I believe this will show us as a room charge on your folio at checkout.
If you have groceries delivered and pick them up from bell services yourself, you will NOT be charged the delivery fee. The fee only applies if bell services delivers your order to your room. The $6 charge is per grocery order, not per bag of groceries.
So if you want to save money, either meet your Instacart delivery person in the lobby or pick your order up yourself at bell services.
Grocery Delivery At Disneyland
There are few grocery delivery at Disneyland options you can utilize for your Anaheim area hotel which is especially convenient if you don’t plan on renting a car. Your hotel will likely have a small store inside of it but you can expect to pay high prices for simple items like milk or cereal. The best way to save money is to plan ahead!

Resorts With Kitchens And Kitchenettes
Disneys Deluxe Villa accommodations can add to your vacation dollar if youre willing to spend at least part of your vacation in the kitchen. These are the only units with full kitchens, other than the Fort Wilderness Cabins . The Deluxe Villas are limited and should be booked as far as possible in advance. We suggest using the services of a Disney specialized travel agency to help find the resort that best meets your needs. The following Disney resorts have rooms that include full kitchens and kitchenettes.
All one-bedroom and larger Villas at these resorts and the cabins at Fort Wilderness include a complete equipped kitchen with eating area, full-size fridge, microwave, stove, oven, toaster, dishwasher, coffee maker and a complete set of cookware, dishes, silverware, and assorted other kitchen utensils. Studios in the Villas include a kitchenette that contains an under-the-counter fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, a few cabinets and a small sink. There should be glasses and mugs but Studios are only supplied with paper bowls and plates and plastic cutlery, and no cookware of any kind. There is a small table in the studio, but no real eating area such as those found in the one-bedroom and larger villas. The kitchenette in the Studios is probably best utilized for preparing breakfasts, snacks and possibly reheating leftovers and is not really suited to full meal preparation.

Dont Shop As You Would At Home
Disney grocery store delivery can be convenient but you are limited to what you can buy. Its important to note that unless you plan on staying at one of the Disney Vacation Club villas many of the in-room appliance options are limited. In almost all cases Disney hotel rooms only have a small fridge. Its important to make most of your groceries nonperishable. I find
Groceries Delivered To Your Disney World Resort
Delivered groceries will be dropped off at the bell hop station of your resort perishables will be kept cold. Disney does not charge a fee to hold your groceries. They do however charge a $6 fee to transport the groceries from the bell hop station to your hotel room, if requested.
Even with all of the COVID19 updates and precautions, you can still have groceries delivered to the resort. The process has not changed.
** The Swan and Dolphin will not accept grocery deliveries from delivery services.

Instacart Disney World Cost & Fees
Some items we commonly order are:
- Fresh fruit
- Beer and wine
- Sunscreen
Ive even ordered other random items such as medicine when my daughter caught a cold, bubble solution for her bubble wand, and swim floats to use at the pool.
In my experience, groceries are VERY reasonably priced when using Instacart to order from Publix.
For example, bananas cost $0.18 each from Instacart, compared to $1.99 in Disney food courts. You can even get the same sales available in the store!
If your order is over $35 then a delivery fee of $3.99 will be applied.
The delivery fee for an order under $35 varies depending on the size of your order and the time period during which you want it delivered. The range seems to be from $5.99 to $10.99.
You will have to pay the delivery fee for each store you order from unless your order qualifies for free delivery.
The other costs associated with an Instacart Disney World order are a 5% service fee and a recommended 5% tip .
I think these fees are a small price to pay for the convenience of getting groceries delivered. I also know that we save far more than we send compared to what we would pay for these items at our hotel!
Where To Pick Up Your Instacart Order
If you arent present for your delivery, you can pick up your order later at your resorts Bell Desk.
Note that this is NOT the same as the check-in or front desk of your resort! If you dont know where the Bell Desk is at your Disney resort, just ask any cast member .
If you cant get down to the Bell Desk, you can call the desk from your room and ask them to deliver your grocery order to your room. On one occasion, I had a bad experience with my order at Disneys Saratoga Springs Resort. I had to call several times until they were able to locate my order, so if this happens to you, just be persistent!
Just be sure to tip your bell services cast member if you have your order brought to your room. I try to have $5 handy for a tip anytime bell services come to my room.

Prime Pantry Prime Now
This one is my favorite, we use it all the time just for our regular household supply stock up. But Prime Pantry isnt just for at home use this also works great for trips too. Simply go to the Amazon website pick out your groceries and have it shipped to the hotel. For Prime Pantry if you spend $50 you can get free shipping, otherwise, its a $5.99 shipping fee.
Instacart Disney World Delivery Process
When you are putting together your Instacart order, you will select a window of time during which your groceries will be delivered. Your delivery fee may vary depending on how soon you want your items delivered.
After you select your delivery window, you can change it up until your shopper starts putting your order together. We have been delayed before and I have changed the delivery time without any issue.
If you are staying at a Disney World on property resort, you will NOT have to be present when your order is delivered, unless your order includes alcohol.
If you are staying at a hotel not owned by Disney, my experience has been that you have to be present to pick up any order.
Instacart shoppers are able to drop your order off at the Bell Services desk at your Disney resort, and Bell Services will hold your order for you until you are ready to pick it up or have it brought up to your room.
They have refrigerators to keep your cold items cold, so you dont have to worry about your milk spoiling.
If you have any alcohol in your order, you WILL have to be present with your ID to pick up your order in person.
You will receive notifications throughout the process of your Instacart order. You will be notified when your shopper begins shopping and if any of the items you have ordered are out of stock.
