This classic hotel, tucked into the pines,was taken over and transformed by the Domaines de Fontenille group: after a top-to-toe renovation it now looks like a kind of mid-century-modern Hamptons surf lodge. The restaurant with its bulb-string-lit terrace serves up a sunny menu of pan-fried squid, mussels and hay-roasted chicken.

Prague is likely to be your main stop on a trip to the Czech Republic and there is more than enough to keep the whole family occupied for however long you decide to stay. Its a beautiful place and one of the best cities in Europe to visit thats a little off the beaten track and different from all the usual tourist hot spots.
Ride the Petrin Hill funicular up to the Lookout Tower and explore the mirror maze and numerous parks. Visit the planetarium and gaze through the observatory telescopes to see the stars. Spend the morning at the Lego Museum and the afternoon exploring Prague Zoo.
An easy way to see the city is to hop on nostalgic vintage 1900s tram #91 for a tour around the main sights and children will enjoy the novel way of travelling. Prague Castle, resembling a fairytale fortress, will be a hit with fans of knights and princesses . Definitely make time to see the Prague Astronomical Clock which chimes on the hour kids will delight in the moving figures and the intricacy of the design & mechanics will fascinate the adults.

How To Get To Pisa
- Trains leave Florence for Pisa many time throughout the day so theres no need to reserve your tickets ahead of time. You can purchase them at the kiosks inside the station. Depending on the number of stops the train makes, the trip will typically take between 30-60 minutes.
Theres not much to see in Pisa except the famous leaning tower but that alone is well worth the trip. If you decide to climb to the top, youll be treated to a beautiful view of the city. The day we were there we were greeted with a torrential downpour of rain! We really didnt get to do anything besides see the tower before catching a train back to Florence.
Once back in Florence we spent the evening walking the city and enjoying another round of gelato. A couple of stops I would recommend are the Piazza della Signoria and the Ponte Vecchio which was the only bridge in Venice that wasnt destroyed during WWII.
