Where To Surf On Tybee Island
1. The Pier
This beach sees the best waves during hurricane season, when you get bigger swells on the East Coast. The beach has a left and right sandy bottom beach break.
2. North Beach
This beach is the least crowded surf spot on the island. You can watch the ships coming into the Savannah River while you wait for a wave.
Surf details: The water around Tybee Island is warm throughout the summer, but watch out for jellyfish in August. Whereas waves range between 1 and 6 feet during hurricane season, there is very little wave activity during the rest of the year.
Things To Do On Tybee Island
