Stowe Is A Seemingly Unknown Vacation Spot In The United States Worth Visiting
Stoweis known for its alpine scenery, which offers stunning backdrops for hiking, camping, and skiing. The Trapp Family Lodge, founded by the Von Trapp family whose story was featured in the hit movie, The Sound of Music offers a beautiful blend of Austrian architecture and Vermont views. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would recommend it to anyone with a similar appreciation of this Hollywood blockbuster.
Like the rest of Vermont, Stowe has a reputation for good beer, that is the Alchemist Brewery. This small, family-run brewery makes one of my favorite beers, the Heady Topper, which always merits a visit to get a free pour. Nothing beats enjoying a beer or two while soaking in the majestic mountain vistas.
From snow-capped mountains to Austrian-style lodges, Stowe is one of the best under the radar vacation spots in the US. Its also home to some of the best hikes in New England.
Denali National Park Alaska
If Denali National Park isnt on your familys travel bucket list, add it now. You can cruise to the famous parkDisney, Carnival and other major cruise lines make the trekor try a scenic train ride from Anchorage or Fairbanks. Be sure to visit the Husky Homestead to learn about Alaskan dog sledding, and even hold the resident pups!

Why Are The Tetons Among The Cool Places To Visit In The Us
At Grand Teton National Park, youll have lots of space for outdoor adventures. Hike one of the 47 hard trails in the Tetons, ranging from 5 miles to over 50 miles, or do something a bit easier with an equal pay off. Some of my favorite hikes include those to Taggart Lake and Delta Lake, the latter being around 10 miles roundtrip. Beautiful sunrise spots include Schwabacher Landing and Mormon Row. Whether youre an experienced backpacker or a novice hiker, theres truly something for everyone here.
During a visit to the Tetons, be sure to stay either in Jackson Hole or Teton Village in Wyoming. Both are absolutely stunning, and youll have a variety of cool restaurants and accommodations to choose from.

Established in 1927 to provide trailer and camping spaces to travelers along the famous Highway 80, the Shady Dell has since become an institution, boasting quirky and vintage trailers and camper vans for guests to stay in. The Florida Keys One Of The Warmest Places To Visit In April In The Usa
The Florida Keys must be on everyones bucket list for places to visit and if youre looking for warm weather in April then this is the place to go.
This beautiful string of coral islands cascading south of Miami, reaching almost to Cuba, the Keys, especially Key West has been a favorite spot for writers and artists to retreat to and be at their best creatively. April is a great time to visit the winter crowds have gone, the hotel rates have become cheaper and temperatures hover around 27 degrees.
You can visit Tennessee Williams and Ernest Hemingways houses, enjoy the numerous art galleries on the main islands, as well as even taking in the outdoor art when driving down the highway. The Overseas Highway, linking all the islands, is an experience in itself. If you are feeling exceptionally energetic, you can do the bike trail from Key Largo to Key West. Still a work in progress, it is about a 3-day cycle.
For those who enjoy nature, both on land and in the water, there are many habitats to explore, from Key Largos John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, to the National Key Deer Refuge on Big Pine Key. Reduced to less than 30 deer in the 1950s, the population has recovered to 800 plus animals today. You can also swim with dolphins and birdwatch to your hearts content.

Texas Hill Country One Of The Best April Vacations For Beautiful Spring Flowers And Countryside Scenery
The Texas Hill Country, just west of Austin, with its dramatic limestone and granite hills, is a scenic destination at any time of year, but late March and April are the must-go times, for this is when the area comes alive with carpets of wildflowers, especially Texas State flower, the bluebonnet, as well as primroses and Indian paintbrush.
It is a time of celebration when you can explore the unique food of the region, which has a strong German heritage, as well as Spanish influences, which can also be seen in the architecture and heard in the local music.
What is not so well known is that this is a key wine region, with over 80 wineries, covering over 9 million acres. What Makes The Finger Lakes Among The Best Unknown Places To Visit In The Usa
This scenic part of upstate New York is home to 11 finger-shaped lakes, some of which are over 30 miles long. Cayuga Lake is the longest of the Finger Lakes, followed by Seneca Lake. Keuka and Skaneateles Lakes are a bit more off the beaten path, but also merit a visit.
Each of these lakes contain lake houses and wineries as far as the eye can see. There seems to be more boat traffic on the lakes than car traffic on the roads that surround them. Its truly a serene place to spend a holiday!
In addition to the lakes themselves, I also enjoyed checking out the state parks, waterfalls, and gorges that the area is known for. Watkins Glen is a must, as well as Buttermilk Falls State Park and the Grand Canyon of the East.
Tip: If you have time, continue west from the Finger Lakes until you hit Buffalo, New York. Its definitely on the urban side, but theres so much to see and appreciate in this part of upstate New York.
