Consider A Family Cruise
Cruises are a microcosm of the Caribbean: There are so many, and so many choices.
Fortunately, many choices are family- and kid-friendly. There are character-themed ships and cruises, waterparks galore, family-friendly restaurants, and even over-the-top amenities like racetracks and trampoline parks.
Cruises let you see multiple islands and take family-friendly side tours and excursions. If you cant decide on one island, you dont have to! Just take a cruise.

Some Of My Favorite Caribbean Destinations
From the swimming pigs tour we took in the Bahamas to the amazing jerk chicken in Jamaica to the awe-inspiring historical sites in Puerto Rico, our family has loved the time weve spent in the Caribbean. But frankly, for the full, Insta-worthy Caribbean experience, you have to go horseback riding on Grand Cayman. During our Grand Cayman family vacation, we had the opportunity to ride swimming horses and it was just as amazing as it sounds.
And heres a fun fact: there is more variety among the beaches than you might expect. Youll definitely find soft white sands and brilliant blue waters on a lot of Caribbean beaches, but the volcanic islands like St. Kitts and Nevis tend to have course, richly colored sand. All the beaches are beautiful, but depending on where your travels take you, you may be surprised by what you see.
Wyndham Reef Resort Cayman Islands

The resort offers a la carte pricing, as well as all-inclusive options, with every guest enjoying three swimming pools, 1,600 feet of white-sand beaches and a number of ways to enjoy the water.

The Cost Of A Family Vacation In Jamaica
Jamaicas inclusive resorts may come with everything included, but they can be more expensive than traditional self-catering properties. A cheaper and often better alternative for families is to rent a private vacation home. Youll have your own exclusive amenities, plus the services of trained staff, at no extra cost.
Your butler will bring you breakfast in the morning, your chef will cook your meals throughout your stay and your housekeepers will keep your villa spick and span, whilst you relax and enjoy spending time with your loved ones! Complimentary overseas calls, communal tennis courts and resort membership are also included with many private villas.
Out and about, youll find that Jamaica is one of the cheapest Caribbean destinations. Most of the beaches, parks and natural attractions are free to visit, or charge only nominal entrance fees. Most hotels and tourist shops accept both Jamaican and US dollars, however, youre likely to get a better rate if you pay in local cash.

Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort St Lucia
Almost all Caribbean resorts have swimming pools somewhere amid the florid palms. Few can brag about having six by necessity, two of which are for families only. Beside this guaranteed sweetener, this longstanding family favourite has a lucky dip of apartments and villas, some with kitchenettes for picky eaters, others with private infinity pools and theres plenty of space to play. Activities include island tours to the gun whales so, if your family is the sort that wants to climb a volcano, or zip-line through a rainforest canopy, then this is a summer holiday repackaged as good sport. Best Resorts For Babies & Toddlers: Fern Resort
You may be wondering why a small, family-run resort in Orillia, Ontario is here with the bigwigs in the Caribbean and Mexico. The simple answer is, Fern Resort is a wonderful place for a family vacation. They offer thoughtful touches that all hotels hoping to cater to families with young children should take note of.
The rooms with reserved cribs are placed on a special list to be made up first. This ensures housekeeping is done by naptime. There are step stools in every public restroom as well as in the guest rooms. And during the summer and school and holiday breaks, they offer kids activities and child care. The kids buffet in the dining room opens early. To relax at dinner, feed the kids first then trot them off to the Playvillage or Nursery. A supervised jumpy castle or age-appropriate movie keeps them busy and happy. Which means you can linger over dessert!
Fern Resort is open year-round. There are seasonal activities that cater to the whole family. Winter and summer are our favourite times to visit.

This private island offers eight accommodation options, one of which is a farm lodge with three bedrooms that works well for families with kids.
The most interesting part of your stay here is going to be visits to the 20-acre farm on the property.
Here, you can choose the vegetables of your liking and the chef will whip up something delicious with it. The produce is sourced entirely from the farm.

Best For Babies And Toddlers
With very young kids, Jamaica gets our top vote, thanks to the island-wide practice of providing expert nannies in many resorts and villas. Consider Grand Cayman for the great selection of beachfront condos in different price ranges as well as the clear, gentle water. Similarly, on Turks and Caicos, the calm seas are fronted by wide and pristine beaches with flour-soft sand thats easy on tiny toes.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos is yet another island perfect for families due to its crowning glory Grace Bay Beach. This three-mile stretch of sand is some of the whitest and softest in the Caribbean while the waters that grace its shores are some of the clearest.
Due to the lack of waves and the clarity of the water here, there are few beaches in the world better for family swims and beach fun. Resorts arent cheap, but there are plenty of rental condos to consider on Grace Bay as well.
