Dont fall victim to Vacation Village Resorts timeshare trap. During an outing at a gun show we received free tickets to enter a getaway weekend at Historic Williamsburg. They called us a few days later and said we won, but we only had to listen to a 1-hour presentation. Instead of an hour, they trapped us there for almost the entire day. The sales presentation was more one on one high pressure sales to purchase a timeshare. Our salesman took us on a tour of Williamsburg, and Vacation Village, and explained all the benefits of purchasing the timeshare. Things like, passing the TS to our kids, access to Disney when traveling, hotel discounts around the world. All of this was FALSE.

Should You Attend Their Timeshare Presentation

I personally did not attend their presentation. I would never recommend sitting through a timeshare presentation and this is why. They promise gifts, which seem great, but they always talk to long. They keep going and going, well past the 90 minutes. Why waste your time doing this when you can be off enjoying yourself.

Beware Of Vacation Village Scam

We purchased a 5-day / 4-night VIP vacation from Vacation Village, after having it recommended by my parents . After multiple emails and phone conversations, we elected to spend the vacation at the Parkway location . Even with their excessive processing requirements – can’t check in before 4pm, must check out before 10am, must spend 3+ hours in a high-pressure sales lecture – we figured that we’d still have 2 full days to enjoy Disney. Not so. After accepting our money for a 5-day vacation, they changed it to a 4-day stay…without telling us. When we checked out on the 5th day, they had already charged our credit card for a “late check out” fee. Do NOT stay with these criminals. Avoid them at all costs! Do not, under any circumstance, give them your credit card information. Please learn from our nightmare.More

Vacation Village Parkway Resort Review

I booked it through our timeshare exchange company RCI but you can book it directly as well. This resort offers a shuttle service to the theme parks.

When I was booking there were a handful of properties available and despite the reviews being totally sporadic I decided to book this one. The pool looked great and some of the reviews were awesome. This tends to happen when part of the property is new and part of the property is old, which was the case with this resort.

The building we stayed in was brand new and happened to also have the nicest pool on the property. In fact the pool and building we stayed in is the exact building and pool that is in the cover photo on RCIs website.

We loved our stay here. The one bedroom we had was huge. It was plenty of room for our family of five. Pictured above is the living room. The couch folded out into a bed. I thought the mattress was awful, but for kids, it must have been okay since they didnt complain.

The master bedroom was large too with a king-size bed and a jetted tub in it. The radio clock is able to charge an iPhone 4.

We basically did not use the kitchen, but you can see that it is large. There is also a stacked washer and dryer in there. It did not have an oven or stove. There was a two-burner hot plate. I did use it to boil some water and it worked fine. Other than that it seemed to be fully stocked, theres a refrigerator with an icemaker, dishwasher, microwave convection oven, drip coffee maker, blender, and toaster.

Does Vacation Village at Parkway buy back timeshares?

Vacation Village at Parkway is part of the Vacation Village Resorts network owned and operated by The Berkley Group. The company does not have an official buyback program, so Vacation Village at Parkway would not buy back timeshares. Any such request would most likely be forwarded to the corporate office in South Florida for a response.

How do I sell my vacation village on timeshare?

There are a couple of ways you can sell Vacation Village timeshares, depending on how involved you want to be in the process.

The second option is to use a timeshare broker. This works similar to the way a real estate agency would operate to sell a house. An agent is assigned to your account, promotes your timeshare, and handles the negotiation on your behalf. Theyll get the contract signed and send it to closing for you. The main drawback is the cost, since the commissions are generally $1,500 or 15 percent of the sale price, whichever is larger.

Because Vacation Village does not have an in-house resale program, contacting the resort to sell your timeshare will probably not help your cause.

Departure765094building 18it was very upsetting to what i had in building 18603A/C. stained carpets, really bad stained dining room chairs, shower doors misalined that water got on floor, GFI kept tripping in bedroom area everynight. counter tops sticky that i had to rewash all counter tops, dirt on floor so i swept, smudge marks and finger prints on doors to patio on both sides… i went on family vacay to clean before i even started. very disappointed in condition. i have never been in this building before and will request never to be again. i have been a timeshare owner at the parkway since about 2016 and i think i deserve better then that, im sure im not the only one to feel this way., i think i will start looking for other places to go with my timeshare……its a shame cause i use to enjoy coming to the parkway.Heather DGreat stayJimmyc1017Very good location to all the theme parksI love the location, Check in was very fast and efficient, however, the ice maker in the refrigerator didn’t work and the refrigerator was very nosey, it sounded like someone always had their dryer going.
