Season 5 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will premiere Thursday, Jan. 6, as the group heads to the Florida Keys for the first time.

MTV today announced that the hit series Jersey Shore Family Vacation, which owns the #1 spot across all key demos in its time period, will kick off the new year with its Season 5 premiere Thursday, January 6th at 8PM ET/PT.

The premiere also marks the official return Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who exited the show during its third season.

The original star did appear last season, fueling speculation that she would be back on a more permanent basis.

“As the world continues to change in unexpected ways, the Jersey Shore family is back together and they’re putting it all on the table,” according to the official description from MTV.

“From long overdue meatball days to wild nights in LA with Vinny and Mike’s “end of probation” celebration to DJ Pauly D’s return to the clubs, this group continues to bring the non-stop party wherever they go.”

“With the arrival of Baby Situation and Deena and Chris’ new little meatball, life events continue to bring the family closer together.”

The enw season will kick off in the Florida Keys and the cast will be ready to “remind everyone how outrageous a Jersey Shore Family Vacation can get,” the cabler says in a press release.

Is This Original Cast Member Returning For Season 5

All the usual suspects are expected to return for Season 5 of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” namely, Angelina Pivarnick, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino, and Deena Nicole Cortese.

However, after bowing out for the previous few seasons and only popping up briefly in Season 4, original cast member Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is slated to make her triumphant return in Season 5. “Get ready for more s*** shows,” she quipped on .

“I’m filming as much as I can,” Polizzi told TooFab. “I want to say I’m back fully, but when it comes to trips and stuff like that I’m gonna be ‘here and there.’ Like I said, I hate leaving my kids, but I’m ready to be back.”

Polizzi took a break from the show to focus on her family. “I needed to get myself back together,” she said. But, now, she’s back and better than ever. “We’ve been filming a couple of weeks and we’re just drinking,” she said. “So I brought the party back.”

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, meanwhile, who temporarily left “Family Vacation” to deal with his ongoing substance abuse issues, told TMZ that he expects to be back in the fold before Season 5 is finished.

Season 5 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will begin airing on MTV on Thursday, January 6 with its premiere episode.

MTV announced the new season will see the cast members “get back together and they’re putting it all on the table,” and they are also expected to “bring the non-stop party” as only they can do.

In May 2021, Jersey Shore Family Vacation cast member Ronnie Ortiz-Magro announced he would be taking a break from the show, according to TMZ.

The announcement came in the wake of Ronnies domestic violence arrest back inApril 2021. Ronnie was arrested for suspicion of intimate partner violence with injuries and with priors,according to People Magazine.

In August 2021, Ronnie told TMZ he stepped away from the show to take care of his mental health, but he plans to return in the future.
